The Case of the Missing Star: 24-Day Advent Mystery

The Golden Star is gone from the top of the Great Workshop Tree, and twelve elves are suspects. Help Chief Inspector Juniper Frost solve the case. From December 1 to 24, kids open one of 24 day cards and solve a small puzzle. There are 7 puzzle types: Snow Code, Shift Code, Number Code, Path Maze, Letter Jumble, Mirror Message and Map Coordinates. Even days reveal a clue to cross elves off the Suspect Board. Odd days add one letter to the Hiding Place tracker. On Christmas Eve exactly one elf is left, and a grown-up opens the Case Closed letter. Choose the main Junior puzzles or 24 optional Senior challenges for ages 9 to 12, with the same daily answers. Includes the Detective Kit, Case File, Master Detective certificate, full answer keys, maze paths, Senior solutions, detective notes and four creative activity prompts. The parent guide offers three ways to play, 24 numbered envelope or pocket tags and an optional gift-reveal box sign. Every code, maze and clue was checked by computer. Ages 6 to 12, with a reader for younger kids. Plan on about 5 minutes a day, with extra time for notes or creative activities. Setup takes about 15 minutes once; envelopes or binder play need no daily prep, while optional hide-and-seek delivery needs daily hiding. Two 27-page PDFs, Letter and A4. Works in black and white.
