No countdown or midnight theme; a cosy hide-and-seek room mission.
Eight numbered envelopes build from word dominoes and room spotting through coaster overlays, rug-piece packing, a two-target supply bag, cushion picture-grid logic, a shelf skyline and a three-digit deduction lock. Trace a clock repair after each accepted code. A ninth challenge uses all eight codes to set four memory switches; draw the restarted clock hands and choose how to spend your rescued family time.
A grown-up hides envelopes using the included host map, checks each code and names only the next approved search spot. The map uses ordinary places such as a sofa cushion edge, a low bookshelf and under an empty unbreakable mug. Every spot is optional and replaceable. A complete tabletop mode needs no hiding or household props; all information needed to solve the puzzles is printed.
For ages 6 to 12 and 2 to 6 players, plus a grown-up host. Ages 6 to 8 need sustained adult co-solving, especially for the last three locks. Two optional Junior replacement sheets supply partly completed picture-grid and skyline grids with the same codes. Practice examples, split tasks and rotating jobs support a mixed-age team. Optional Expert challenges change the domino connections, test a tempting rug placement, explore picture-grid ambiguity and rotate the skyline. These are extensions of the same mission, not separate escape rooms.
Estimated play is 45 to 70 minutes, including searches, code checks and the ending. Allow 15 to 20 minutes for setup. These are estimates, not measured family timings; experienced solvers may finish sooner. Every puzzle and the finale have a nudge, a worked step and a rescue answer. Worked solutions include diagrams or checking tables.
Each PDF has 26 pages: eight standard puzzle sheets, two optional Junior grid replacements, a mission tracker with eight drawable clock repairs, a final clock challenge with a writable face, three host setup and map pages, envelope labels, three graded-hint pages, four worked-solution pages, a finale key and story ending, a cover and a family keepsake. Four PDFs are supplied: Letter and A4, each in colour and greyscale.
Print one copy each of pages 6 to 15 for a 10-sheet player set. For Junior support, swap page 25 for page 12 and page 26 for page 13; the player set stays at 10 sheets. Optional labels make 11. Read the 11 host reference pages on screen, or print them for 22 sheets including labels. Printing the entire PDF once uses 26 sheets. Extra standard puzzle copies add eight sheets. Optional keepsakes on page 24 add one sheet per child.
Supply pencils, erasers, scrap paper and eight envelopes at least 6 x 9 inches, or use folded numbered sheets. A grown-up handles optional cutting. The illustrated setup shows the paper arrangement; envelopes and pencils are household supplies. The second hiding map changes only the search route for replay; all puzzle answers stay the same. Optional Expert tasks have host explanations and never change a lock code.

A grown-up approves low, dry, stable search spots, supervises searches and handles optional cutting. Use an empty unbreakable mug. Keep away from heat, outlets, cords, appliances, heavy lids and breakables. Search only the named spot; never lock a real door or handle a real clock. Every hide can be replaced or played at the table.
