What is included

  • 8 mission cards + visible repair clock
  • 8 bonus words reveal Pip's secret
  • 3-round caller, tracer and checker relay
  • 6 core puzzle types with graded host hints
  • 18 pages per size, including 7 host pages
  • Early finishes, keepsakes and capsule label

Eight cards: letter maze, shuffled-slot number cipher, four-gear balance lock with an adult-supported trial bench, scattered-letter word search, four-word anagram extraction, maker/tool/badge deduction, paper wish loops and an imaginary-clock game, then the final message restart. Each card includes a small team celebration.

Eight optional older-kid challenges form a real secret note about Pip. Four repeating-key ciphers alternate with four two-rail ciphers, with both methods explained on the tracker. Every solved word adds to the discovery. Bonus work never blocks the main finale.

Extra group game: a three-round clockmaker relay. A caller reads directions, a tracer follows a letter board and a checker records the signal. Swap roles each round, then invent clock sounds and a seated human machine. Play with 1 to 6 kids by combining roles or pairing up. Encore suggestions reuse the same routes with a new performance; they are not new puzzle sets.

18 pages per paper size: four sheets of cut-apart cards, labels/schedule, repair-clock tracker, personal keepsake, assembly guide, two relay player sheets, optional cover and seven host pages. Core shared player sheets are pages 3 to 8. Optional relay sheets are pages 16 to 17, one set per team. Optional keepsake page 13 is one per child. The guide gives exact print ranges.

Timing is for planning, not measured family play: core cards including actions are estimated at 38 to 63 minutes, and confident solvers may finish substantially faster. Allow about 2 to 5 minutes per optional cipher and 10 to 20 minutes for the relay. Spread cards through an evening with gaps or play in a compact session with breaks. Finish at 8 PM, 9 PM or midnight.

Ages 6 to 8 need adult reading and solving support, especially for the gear lock and linked badge deduction. Ages 9 to 12 can try the secret-note ciphers and take caller/checker roles. For 1 to 6 kids and an adult, sharing one team set. No real locks, hiding places or extra prizes needed.

Includes a draw-or-write interview, a small goal with a first step, capsule label and original clockmaker line artwork. White backgrounds, Letter and A4 PDFs, and greyscale options. Adult handles cutting; personal wishes can stay private. Digital PDF download only. Paper, pencils, tape, optional envelopes and a capsule container are supplied by you. The assembly illustration is a drawing, not a photograph.
