The seven training puzzles use a pencil pressure reveal with a greyscale striped-letter fallback, printed Morse code, mirror writing, a paper laser-grid path, an assembled alphabet wheel, invented fingerprint matching and a three-category logic grid. All seven tokens feed an eighth mission: extract letters, convert them to numbers and combine them into four vault dials. No real fingerprints are collected.

For ages 7 to 12 with a grown-up host throughout. Ages 7 to 8 need reading and logic help. Use one team for 3 to 6 players; split 7 to 12 evenly into two teams of 3 to 6 with duplicate sets. Six cut-apart role cards rotate after every envelope. Three players combine roles. Both teams celebrate together with free hints and no speed ranking.

Confident crews can divide into three pairs for a longer Morse transmission and a three-part mirror briefing. Each pair solves a separate strip before combining the message. An archive audit asks players to prove why every rejected print fails. These optional reasoning and performance activities use the same challenge sheets in either mission set; they add no extra lock codes.

Give the birthday person the shield-shaped Top Agent badge at the start. They choose a call sign, welcome agents and lift the vault door after a shared countdown, or invite a helper. Their role never depends on solving, speed or winning. Every child receives an Academy Agent certificate. Four ID cards have editable PDF name fields and handwritten team and skill spaces.

The hour-long schedule allows 8 minutes for IDs, 4 for briefing, 35 for training, 8 for the vault and 5 for celebration. Optional harmless-gadget drawing adds 15 minutes. These are planning estimates, not measured family timings; confident older solvers may finish sooner. Setup is estimated at 20 to 30 minutes, including assembling the wheel and paper vault.

Each PDF contains 36 pages: cover, two host guides, four IDs on one sheet, illustrated mission log, eight primary missions, wheel tool, envelope labels and birthday badge, three graded-hint pages, two worked-answer and ending pages, two certificates on one sheet, eight changed-data replay missions, three replay help pages, two partner challenge sheets, a paper vault craft and six role cards on one sheet. Four PDFs are included: Letter and A4, each in colour and greyscale.

Print 10 core sheets per team for either mission set, plus one vault sheet per party. IDs add one sheet per four players, rounded up; certificates add one per two players, rounded up. Add one label sheet per party. Including those items, 3 players use 15 sheets, 6 use 17 and 12 across two teams use 31. Optional extras per team: two partner challenge sheets, one role-card sheet and one pressure-template sheet. A second printed label set adds one sheet. Host references can stay on screen. Printing the full PDF once uses 36 sheets.

Supply eight envelopes per team, pencils, erasers, scrap paper, tape, grown-up scissors and a small mirror or bright window. An optional paper fastener helps the wheel; a fingertip holds the centres without one. Pressure reveal also needs a ballpoint pen, magazine and host-prepared pressure impression. Use the no-prep striped fallback if the impression is unclear. All puzzles work in greyscale. No red filter, special ink, phone, real lock or household searching is required.

Replay B changes the puzzle words, signal, route direction, wheel setting, invented print match, logic roster and final code. It reuses the story, mission types, schedule, log, wheel, optional partner challenges and vault reveal. Each challenge in both mission sets has a nudge, worked step and rescue answer. This is a second puzzle set within the same adventure.
